Background

Despite practicing martial arts in his teens, Euros never found it to be the escape from reality that he craved. Last year he found himself easily distracted, over weight and would often lose focus while at work. Euros also injured his back in a Car Crash a few years ago, which he still has not fully recovered from and is affecting his training sessions.

In January 2012, a close friend enrolled him in the Chris Rees Academy in the hope that it would help him physically as well as improve his mental attitude. Euros began learning Mixed Martial Arts and Brazilian jiu-jitsu with the Gracie Barra Predator Team.

Chris Rees is the only instructor in Wales to hold a black belt in Brazilian jiu-jitsu, with over 20 years of Martial Arts experience behind him. He also holds Black belts in Traditional jiu-jitsu, Shotokan karate and Aikido. Chris quickly saw potential in Euros and gave him a reason to train. Euros took a personal challenge to take on a Semi-Professional bout in an MMA fight on 14th July.
